ENVIRONMENTAL STRATEGIES FOR LIVESTOCK WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT

Modern inconsistency of intensive technologies of the ecological paradigm leads to negative environmental, economic and social consequences: energy crisis, ecosystems degradation, reduction of agricultural quality, environmental pollution, which have significantly aggravated due to hostilities in Ukraine.

The environmental problem that needs to be solved is the formation of significant volumes of wastewater in the production of poultry and livestock production. An important factor that determines the level of negative impact of the enterprise on the hydrological component of the ecosystem is the content of xenobiotics and pollutants in wastewater discharged into surface natural reservoirs. The wastewater of livestock enterprises have low transparency, gray, unpleasant specific smell. These physical indicators indicate the presence of soluble and suspended impurities, the color of the water is determined by the presence of humic substances in it. From the point of view of chemical composition, wastewater is characterized, above all, by the content of a large number of inorganic and organic compounds in a suspended, colloid and soluble state. About 60 % of the total amount of contaminants account for the proportion of organic substances whose sanitary significance is especially dangerous [1].
